In Moodle go to the module page and 'Turn on' editing.

Go to the section of the page you want to add the Resource List to and click 'Add an Activity or Resource', as you would for adding a file, document or URL.

Click on 'Add Talis Resource List'

Click on 'Select section', this will display all the sections on the resource.

When adding in each weekly section, we recommend changing the default name of the link to provide the best experience for students.

  • Under General: Change the Activity name from the default description 'Add Talis Resource List' to 'Week (X) Reading' to let students know they are only viewing the weekly section.

Adding a link in Moodle to a Featured Collection resource list

The library has resource lists for a number of Featured Collections, such as, Dissertations & Literature Reviews, Research Skills, Employability, Women's History Month, etc.

These lists (or sections of) can be added to Moodle in much the same way as adding module readings.

To start, in Moodle go to the module page and 'Turn on' editing.

Go to the section of the page you want to add the Resource List to and click 'Add an Activity or Resource', as you would for adding a file, document or URL.

Click on 'Add Talis Resource List'

Click on 'select content'.

Under 'Embed list or section from Talis Aspire' type 'featured collection' in the search box.

Select the list you wish to add and click 'Embed list'. This will embed the whole list to Moodle.

Once this is done, click 'Save and return to course' to view the link on Moodle.
