Each report is written by an expert analyst in the subject and provides primary consumer research, unravelling key trends, behaviour and attitudes. Mintel is a useful source of demographic information and also includes valuable market data such as market size and information on new products, product innovations and marketing strategies.
Some ‘hot topics’ the Mintel analysts have picked out from recently published reports include: the post pandemic traveller, meat substitutes, the changing face of the high street and social media and influencers.
To search for a topic simply enter a keyword on the homepage (this could be a company, brand, industry or topic) to see a list of suggested reports within the subject area. If there are no suggested reports you can press enter and browse the results.
An alternative search strategy is to expand the ‘Filters’ next to the search bar - these enable you to search by Category, Region, Trend Drivers and Demographics.
Each report contains five key sections:
You can download a Powerpoint version of the Report and its Infographics as well as an Excel copy of the Report’s databook. The Interactive Databook lets you delve deeper into the actual data used to create the Report. The Databook looks in detail at the questions consumers were asked as part of the report's research and you can refine responses by demographics including gender, age, generation, region and socio-economic group.
Our subscription now includes a separate Mintel Market Sizes database which can help you identify the size of a potential market. Key features of the Market Sizes database include socio-economic data (benchmarking against population, gross domestic product and consumer price index), single currency comparison and an adjustor for inflation. Market Sizes can be accessed from the Mintel homepage and also has its own entry in our A-Z database list.
