Using The Library

Need To Know

Main entrance to Whitelands College reception

Whitelands students have access to all the library services we provide to students based on the main campus and can make use of the free university shuttle bus to travel between the campuses during term time. For bus times, take a look at the shuttle bus information page on the portal.

The following are also very useful to Whitelands students.

Click and Collect

This service enables you to have books from the Library delivered to Whitelands so you can pick them up from there. You can find more information about how to borrow and return items as well as how to make a request on our Click and Collect page.

Scan and Send

Scan and Send is an electronic document delivery service which allows you to request scans from our print collections. Requests can be made for individual journal articles, book chapters, or pages from a book (up to 10%). These are then delivered electronically to your Roehampton email in a readable and searchable PDF format. More information including how to make a request can be found on our Scan and Send page.

Manresa Hall

A large PC lab which is open 24 hours.

Our online resources include eBooks, eJournals and databases, which staff and students can access off-campus through the library catalogue, found on the library homepage.

Subject Resource pages highlight the most useful online resources for your specific subject area, including new additions and the best picks for your course. Select your Subject Resource page below:

Library pop-ups

Throughout the year, the Library runs pop-up sessions in Whitelands reception where library staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the Library. â€‹Keep an eye on the Nest portal news page for upcoming dates.

You can also find information about the Library and any services we’re running on the noticeboard in the corridor next to the Whitelands Nest desk.
