Drama Online is a library database that covers a wide range of content in a variety of different formats:

You can navigate your way round Drama Online in a variety of different ways. You can:

  • Browse our Collections
  • Explore by themes such as “Family”, “Music, or “Travel”
  • Filter Contents – such as seeing all Videos or Plays content
  • Use the Search function to search for resources

Lucy Kirkwood's delightful play text version of the classic fairytale, Beauty and Beast, first seen in a production devised and directed by Katie Mitchell at the National Theatre for Christmas 2010.

A biopic of the famous comedian Tim Minchin, Matilda and Me, which uses exclusive access to rehearsal footage to chart his journey in adapting the children’s classic, Matilda, for stage.

Shakespeare Collections

Another area you might like to explore in more detail is the extensive range of Shakespeare Collections incorporating the Shakespeare's Globe on Screen and Shakespeare and Early Modern video collections.

As well as videos and play texts,  you can, via Shakespeare in the Present,  access an extensive master acting class from esteemed voice coach Patsy Rodenburg. Many high profile actors such as Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen have paid tribute to Rodenburg's work:.
