Children's Literature Digital Collection

The Children's Literature Digital Collection

The Children's Literature Collection is a specialist collection within the university library. It exists to support children's literature studies at Roehampton and the work of the National Centre for Research in Children's Literature (NCRCL).

As well as reference books and journals, the Collection houses a large number of children's books of historical interest, mainly from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Several of these have now been digitised in their entirety and can be found at the link below, complete with covers, frontispieces and illustrations.

Froebel Digital Collections

Froebel Archive Digital Collection

The Froebel Archive for Childhood Studies centres on Friedrich Froebel’s educational legacy, early years and elementary education. It presents a comparative view of early childhood philosophies and supports teaching and learning within and beyond the University.

A number of popular historical books have been digitised for the use by students and researchers and other interested readers.
