Resources for the MA in Spanish Language Teaching

Getting Started

Not sure where to start?

Have a look at our How To... page for our three part tutorial on getting started with your library research. The Starting Your Research in MCL tutorial (Part 2) has examples of searches related to School of Arts subjects such as linguistics and film, but the advice is relevant for all subjects.

You will also find guidance on searching Library databases, from some of our database providers.

Essential Resources

Library subscriptions: free with your Roehampton login.

The Library subscribes to thousands of academic journals such as the Journal of Spanish Language Teaching, which you can access via our eJournals Finder.

You can also search these specialist databases to find journal articles, book chapters and other academic research papers in your subject. Most provide the full PDF text, but sometimes there may be just brief details (citation and abstract) of the articles. Click the Search for FullText@Roehampton button to see if  you can access the article via our ejournals;  if not, you can usually order it free via Interlibrary Loan.

Current Newspapers and Magazines

The Pressreader app gives you access to thousands of current international papers and magazines, including many Spanish titles. You can also access the past archives of several major newspapers - find them via our A-Z Database list.

E-books

You can access language and linguistics titles from Cambridge University Press via Cambridge Core.

Open Access articles

Free to all on the web, but checked for academic integrity, so you know you can trust the source.
